Welcome to the Office of Whole Child Supports
We believe a strong foundation for academic success begins with addressing the whole child. Through collaboration with districts, schools, families, and communities, we help build the systems and capacity needed to ensure every student's academic, behavioral, and wellbeing needs are met.
How Our Work Connects
Our work is grounded in Georgia's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS) a framework that integrates academics, behavior, and wellbeing to improve outcomes for every student.
Metro RESA supports districts in implementing GaMTSS through coaching, professional learning, consultation, and technical assistance in two interconnected areas:
School Climate
Strengthening the behavioral component of GaMTSS through:
- Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- School climate improvement
- Classroom management
- Behavior systems
- Positive school culture
Wellbeing
Strengthening the wellbeing component of GaMTSS through:
- Mental health
- Staff wellness
- Attendance
- Wraparound supports and community school strategies
- Family engagement
- Community partnerships
Together, these services help districts build integrated systems that remove barriers to learning and support the success of every student.
