GaMTSS
Georgia Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS) is a data-driven, multi-level prevention framework designed to support the whole child through a continuum of tiered supports in academics, behavior, and wellbeing. Founded on the understanding that these areas are deeply interconnected, GaMTSS enables schools and districts to remove barriers to learning and promote student success by integrating data, systems, and practices.
To support implementation, the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) provides virtual trainings and a suite of essential tools and resources. Metro RESA complements this work by helping districts put these resources into action — offering coaching, consultation, and opportunities to apply learning in practical, collaborative settings.
One key way we support this work is through Whole Child Supports Regional Meetings, held three times a year. These sessions focus on strengthening foundational Tier I systems—such as policies, procedures, and infrastructure—through shared learning, group discussion, and peer collaboration.
