Building Leaders of Teaching and Learning

Session 3 - April 27

Beyond Tokenism:
Designing Systems That Center Student Voice is an interactive learning experience designed for teachers, school leaders, and district leaders who are ready to move from performative engagement to authentic co-creation.

Grounded in research on participatory leadership, youth–adult partnership, and the Spectrum of Student Voice, this session challenges participants to critically examine current practices, identify structural barriers, and design concrete next steps that embed student voice into school and district systems.

Participants Will Leave With:
🎯 A shared definition of authentic student voice
🎯 A diagnostic tool to assess their current reality
🎯 A practical design blueprint aligned to their context
🎯 Immediate implementation commitments

This session is not about adding another initiative. It is about shifting power, practice, and policy so student voice meaningfully influences decisions—not just conversations. Student voice is often invited into the room—but rarely embedded into the system. Let us change this together.
