Reagan Biwott, Metro RESA K - 12 Science Specialist
Dr. Reagan Biwott, an educator of 25 years who is passionate about integrated and inclusive learning, currently serves as the Science Instructional Supervisor and Science Endorsement Coordinator at MRESA where she facilitates on-site and job-embedded professional learning for Science educators, as well as Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) educators in the twelve metropolitan Atlanta school districts. She was formerly a Science Professional Learning Specialist in Marietta City Schools where she supported K-12 Science teachers’ professional development through a variety of Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) Science, STEAM, International Baccalaureate, and assessment trainings, as well as Professional Learning Community work, academic coaching, assessment development, curriculum writing, and teaching science endorsement courses. Before that, she was a secondary science teacher, as well as a university science instructor for undergraduate and graduate students in various science and science education fields. Reagan has served on the Human Anatomy and Physiology GSE
writing team, various Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) End of Course assessment writing teams, as a GaDOE Science Advisory Council member, and as a GaDOE Science Ambassador. Reagan has also been a keynote speaker and a presenter at various local, state, and national conferences and is a member of the National Science Teaching Association, the Georgia Science Supervisors Association, the Environmental Education Alliance, where she is a current board member, and the Georgia Science Teachers Association where she formerly served as a board member and editor of The Georgia Science Teacher.
