Nayeede Bailey brings 13 years of experience in education to her current role as a Let’s Read, Georgia Coaching Specialist. Throughout her career, she has served as a K–4 teacher, K–8 Instructional Coach, and CSI Literacy Coach, consistently supporting both student achievement and teacher growth. Nayeede is deeply committed to helping educators implement evidence-based literacy practices and believes in the power of reading to transform lives. Her passion lies in inspiring a love of literacy in students and opening doors to new possibilities through reading.

 

 

 


Sherry Boudreaux, Ed.S, Lead Let's Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist

Sherry Boudreaux brings over 30 years of experience to the Let’s Read, Georgia Team, fueled by a deep passion for literacy and student success. Before joining Metro RESA in July 2018 as part of the School Improvement Team, she served in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, instructional coach, and building- and district-level administrator. Known for her collaborative leadership and focus on literacy, Sherry helps schools address instructional challenges and drive continuous improvement. She believes literacy is the gateway to the world and is committed to helping all students reach their full potential.


Jasmine Bender, Let's Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist

Jasmine is an experienced educator with over a decade of service in public education. She has served in various roles, including classroom teacher, K-2 reading interventionist, K-3 literacy specialist, and district reading specialist. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply committed to fostering a love of learning, improving literacy outcomes, and supporting educators through evidence-based practices. With a strong foundation in the Science of Reading and a passion for equitable instruction, Jasmine is excited to contribute to the mission of Metro RESA and continue making meaningful impact in the field of education. 

 

 

 


Tiffany Coleman, Ph.D., Let’s Read, Georgia!  Literacy Coaching Specialist (Part-Time)

With over thirty years of experience in Georgia public schools and higher education, Dr. Tiffany Coleman brings deep expertise in literacy instruction, coaching, and leadership to Metro RESA. She has served as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, Instructional Coach, curriculum developer, and has mentored aspiring educators through Georgia TAPP and university programs. In higher education, she has held roles as Associate Professor, Chair of Literacy Instruction, and Reading Endorsement coordinator. A published author and state and national presenter, Dr. Coleman is passionate about joyful, research-based literacy practices and is excited to collaborate with Metro educators to positively impact Georgia classrooms.

 

 


 


Lauren Cook, Let's Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist

Lauren Cook is an experienced educator with over 25 years in the field. Now in her second year as a Let’s Read, Georgia Coaching Specialist, she is dedicated to supporting teachers and improving literacy outcomes statewide.  Her career includes roles as an elementary teacher, Title I reading teacher, instructional coach, District ELA Content Specialist, Reading Endorsement instructor, and District Growing Readers Specialist. She has twice been named a school-level Teacher of the Year and was honored as the 2017–2018 Teacher of the Year for the Douglas County School System.  Lauren’s work centers on strengthening literacy skills, inspiring a love of reading, and building teacher capacity through evidence-based practices, impacting classrooms across Georgia.


 


Kala Falker, Let’s Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist

Kala Falker has over 26 years of experience in education, serving in roles such as classroom teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, Growing Readers Specialist and Literacy Coach. She holds a Reading Endorsement and is LETRS-trained, bringing a strong foundation in early and structured literacy. As a former District Literacy Coordinator, Kala is dedicated to supporting educators and helping all students build strong reading skills for lifelong success. She has led professional learning, guided curriculum alignment, and supported schools in building sustainable literacy practices. Her focus remains on ensuring all students have access to effective, equitable literacy instruction.

 

 

 


Dr. Tamara Holloway, Let's Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist

Dr. Tamara Holloway is a Let’s Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist with 24 years of experience in education. She brings expertise in data-driven instruction, curriculum development, evidence-based writing practices, and differentiated strategies that close literacy gaps and promote equity. Tamara holds a doctorate in Elementary Education from Brenau University, along with degrees in psychology, special education, and curriculum and instruction. She also holds endorsements in reading, gifted, dyslexia, teacher leadership, and coaching. Passionate about literacy and educator support, Tamara believes, “Teaching a child to read is not just about decoding words—it’s about empowering them with opportunity, voice, and agency.”

 


 


Angela Jones, Let’s Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist

Dr. Angela Jones is honored to serve as a Literacy Coaching Specialist with Let’s Read, GA! She brings a wealth of experience to this role, having worked nationally as a professional learning specialist and as a member of a national research-practice partnership advisors group. Throughout her career, Dr. Jones has held a variety of impactful positions, including literacy specialist, reading coach, ELA department chair, elementary and middle school teacher,  literacy consultant, and literacy intervention tutor.  Her experience also includes serving as an English as a Foreign Language tutor while living in South Korea, Germany, and Japan. She is a committed lifelong learner who actively deepens her expertise in brain science and cognitive psychology as it pertains to education. She regularly engages with current research on structured literacy and the science of reading.

Courtney Jones brings over 28 years of dedicated service in education, serving as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, coordinator, director, and ultimately as an Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Innovation.   Throughout her professional journey, she has successfully transformed schools and district programs by increasing access, opportunities, and outcomes for PK-12 students. With a wealth of experience, she is a literacy expert committed to making a significant impact on learning and improving literacy outcomes for all students. Courtney is unwavering in her commitment to the success of all students, firmly believing that education not only transforms the lives of students but also the families and communities we serve.

Charlene McGlockling is a dedicated literacy educator with over 20 years of experience supporting students, educators, and school districts in advancing literacy achievement. She currently serves as a Let’s Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist. Throughout her career, Charlene has held roles including District Literacy Coordinator, Instructional Coach, Adjunct Professor at Georgia State University, and Reading Endorsement Instructor. She is passionate about equipping educators with evidence-based practices and is committed to fostering equitable, engaging learning environments where all students can thrive through literacy.

Teana Shelton is a dedicated Regional Literacy Coaching Specialist at Metro RESA with over a decade of experience in elementary education. Passionate about literacy and coaching, she specializes in structured literacy and dyslexia. Teana excels in developing strategic interventions and professional development programs, collaborating with educators to enhance student outcomes. She holds a master's degree in Early Childhood Education and multiple endorsements and certifications, including Reading, Dyslexia, and Coaching. Her commitment to fostering a love of reading and supporting educators makes her a pivotal figure in advancing literacy education.

Katrina Smith-Paggett is a veteran educator with over 25 years of experience and a deep commitment to early literacy. She currently serves as a Let’s Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist with Metro RESA. Throughout her career, she has held key leadership roles including district reading coach, instructional coach, professional learning designer, and national facilitator. A three-time Teacher of the Year, Katrina is passionate about building strong literacy foundations from birth through age eight. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom through active involvement in community literacy initiatives—she is president of the Henry Heritage Reading Council, a leader with Ferst Readers of Henry County, and secretary of the Graham-Powell Family Educational Foundation. Katrina’s work reflects her dedication to empowering educators, supporting families, and advancing literacy for all children.

Lakesha Turner serves as a Let's Read, Georgia Literacy Coach with a heartfelt commitment to building teacher capacity and improving outcomes for all learners. With over 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher, interventionist, national professional learning facilitator, and instructional coach, Lakesha’s educational journey was transformed through structured literacy and the science of reading—approaches she now uses to empower others. Her passion for literacy is rooted in equity: she believes every child deserves access to effective reading instruction that opens doors to lifelong learning. As a coach, Lakesha brings empathy, insight, and practical strategies to help educators grow in both confidence and skill. For her, coaching is not only about instruction, but also about transformation, sparked by meaningful questions and sustained through supportive relationships. Her work has led to measurable gains for striving readers and has inspired educators to lead with intention, reflection, and purpose.
