Sherry Boudreaux brings 30 years of experience to the Let’s Read, Georgia Team, driven by a profound passion for literacy and transforming students' lives. With a keen understanding of educational challenges, she empowers schools towards excellence through her extensive experience. Sherry became a part of the Metro RESA family in July 2018, working with the School Improvement Team. Throughout her career, she has excelled in various roles, including teacher, instructional coach, and building and district-level administrator. Sherry has played a pivotal role in enhancing educational outcomes by providing valuable expertise and guidance to schools. Always passionate about literacy practices and students, she fosters positive change within schools, working collaboratively to implement effective strategies and initiatives that drive continuous improvement and increased literacy skills. Sherry believes literacy is the gateway to the world and strives to ensure all students reach their full potential.

Lauren Cook is an accomplished educator with 25 years of experience in education. Currently serving as a Let's Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist, Lauren has dedicated her career to fostering a love of reading and enhancing literacy skills among students. Her extensive background includes roles as an elementary classroom teacher, Title I reading teacher, District ELA Content Specialist, Reading Endorsement instructor, District Growing Readers Specialist, and teacher coach. Throughout her career, Lauren has been committed to developing effective teaching strategies, supporting educators, and driving student success. Her passion for literacy and dedication to education make her an asset to Metro RESA’s Early Literacy Team.

Courtney Jones brings over 28 years of dedicated service in education, serving as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, coordinator, director, and ultimately as an Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Innovation. Throughout her professional journey, she has successfully transformed schools and district programs by increasing access, opportunities, and outcomes for PK-12 students. With a wealth of experience, she is a literacy expert committed to making a significant impact on learning and improving literacy outcomes for all students. Courtney is unwavering in her commitment to the success of all students, firmly believing that education not only transforms the lives of students but also the families and communities we serve.

Teana Shelton is a dedicated Regional Literacy Coaching Specialist at Metro RESA with over a decade of experience in elementary education. Passionate about literacy and coaching, she specializes in structured literacy and dyslexia. Teana excels in developing strategic interventions and professional development programs, collaborating with educators to enhance student outcomes. She holds a master's degree in Early Childhood Education and multiple endorsements and certifications, including Reading, Dyslexia, and Coaching. Her commitment to fostering a love of reading and supporting educators makes her a pivotal figure in advancing literacy education.
Katrina Smith-Paggett, Ed.S, Let's Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist

Katrina Smith-Paggett is a dedicated educator with over 24 years of experience. She is excited to join the MRESA team as a Let’s Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist. During her career she has held various roles, including classroom teacher, K-1st interventionist, school-level instructional coach, district reading coach, culture and climate coach, professional learning designer, and national professional learning facilitator. Her outstanding contributions to education have been recognized through multiple accolades, including being named Teacher of the Year three times during her tenure as a classroom teacher. Katrina's passion for literacy and child development is evident in her extensive volunteer work. She believes that the birth to 8-years age range is critical for developing children's literacy skills. She actively participates in numerous organizations to promote literacy within her community. She serves as the president of Henry Heritage Reading Council, a local reading council, is a key member of the leadership team for her local Ferst Readers organization and is secretary of the Graham-Powell Family Educational Foundation. Her dedication to education, building solid literacy foundations, and community service, underscores her role as a servant leader and advocate for lifelong learning and literacy.
