Wraparound and Community School Professionals

Wraparound is a school-based approach that helps remove barriers to student success by developing, coordinating, and connecting students and families to academic, behavioral, health, and community supports. Unlike a specific program or initiative, wraparound can take many forms including services, policies, partnerships, or dedicated support centers and is designed to meet the unique needs of each school community. 

To support school districts, Metro RESA will facilitate four professional learning sessions during the 2026–2027 school year in conjunction with participating school districts. These sessions provide opportunities for district and school-level coordinators to collaborate with peers, explore implementation challenges and successes, and develop practical solutions that strengthen whole-child supports.

Session objectives include:

• Strengthen implementation of Wraparound and Community School practices
• Collaborate with colleagues across participating districts
• Share best practices, resources, and lessons learned
• Problem-solve challenges related to planning, implementation, and sustainability

Meetings are held in person from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at locations throughout the Metro RESA region.

The meeting dates for the 2026–2027 school year are:

• Tuesday, August 18, 2026
• Tuesday, October 27, 2026
• Tuesday, January 12, 2027
• Tuesday, March 9, 2027
