Georgia Multi-Tiered System of Supports

Georgia Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS) is a data-driven, multi-level prevention system designed to meet the needs of the whole child through a continuum of tiered supports for academics, behavior, and wellbeing.

To assist school districts in developing and implementing this integrated model, Metro RESA holds Whole Child Supports Regional Meetings three times during the school year. These meetings support Tier I school improvement efforts by focusing on essential systems, policies, procedures, and infrastructure that lay the foundation for a successful GaMTSS framework.

Meeting objectives include:

• Strengthen Tier I academic, behavior, and wellbeing supports
• Promote cross-department collaboration
• Analyze data to identify root causes and inform strategic solutions
• Build readiness for deeper GaMTSS implementation

Meetings are in-person from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm and take place across the metro Atlanta area:

The meeting dates for the 2026-2027 school year are:

• Thursday, September 10, 2026
• Thursday, January 7, 2027
• Thursday, May 6, 2027

Each school district is asked to send a team of four to six members, including representatives from PBIS/School Climate, MTSS, Wraparound/Wellbeing Services, and Teaching and Learning. By bringing together representatives across these areas, districts will be better equipped to align supports, remove barriers to learning, and improve outcomes for all students.
