Learning Targets: Our Two Year Focus

  1. Develop an understanding of current research, reader models, and state standards that inform and drive reading instruction.
  2. Establish a learning environment (time, structures, resources, and physical and emotional climate) that supports effective reading instruction and student learning.
  3. Engage in individual and small group instruction to assess, set individual goals, explicitly teach, and provide feedback. 
  4. Understand and use effective reading assessment practices.
