Building Leaders of Teaching and Learning
Metro RESA Schools and Districts Recognized for GaMTSS/PBIS Excellence!

We are excited to share that many Metro RESA schools and districts have once again been recognized by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) for their outstanding implementation of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework for the 2024–25 school year!

This year, GaDOE updated the recognition process to align with the Georgia Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS). Schools now earn one of three recognition levels—Emerging, Operational, or Distinguished—based on their completion of fidelity requirements and student outcome criteria.

This year’s recognition highlights schools that exemplify best practices in building positive school climates and creating environments where all students can thrive. Through the dedication of educators, staff, and students, PBIS continues to strengthen respectful, responsible, and safe learning communities across our region.

We are proud of the hard work and commitment of our Metro RESA schools and districts. Please join us in celebrating their efforts and success in supporting the well-being and academic success of every student!
