1. Candidates must be employed in a leadership position in a LUA requiring professional performance-based leadership certification at Tier II. 

          In addition, practicing educators seeking admission must: 

2. Receive the recommendation of the employing LUA for participation in the program and assurance that the system will support the work of the candidate in the program. 

3. Hold a level 5 or higher Standard Professional Educational Leadership Tier I certificate or hold a valid, Standard Professional L certificate in Educational Leadership Tier II based on completion of a non- performance-based program.
4. Provide references documenting evidence of successful performance in a leadership position that requires Tier I leadership certification.

I understand I must already hold Tier I Educational Leadership certification.  My district will apply for a Tier II Non-Renewable Educational Leadership certification upon admission, if I do not already hold the NL.

I understand I must have taken the GACE Ethics for Educational Leaders 380 for program admissions.

I understand I must have a passing score on the GACE Performance Assessment for School Leaders (PASL) to qualify for Tier II certification.

I understand the application, resume, and other data are the property of Metropolitan Regional Educational Service Agency (Metro RESA) and cannot be returned. I authorize full investigation of the information given in this application and consent to the representatives of Metro RESA contacting my references, previous employers, and schools attended. I understand successful completion of the iLEAD program requires meeting all iLEAD standards, attending all required sessions, completing all activities, submitting all required documents, and tendering all payments.

• Essentials Course Fee- Due prior to June 1
• Metro RESA Service Areas (including Public Charter Schools): $1,000

• Program Monthly Fees- $500.00 per month due by the 5th of each month from July-June

Metro RESA will work with School Districts who are interested in paying all or part of the fee on behalf of the candidate.

I understand I am responsible for the payment of fees. Arrangements for payment supported by other means is the responsibility of the applicant.

The MRESA iLEAD Dispositions Assessment is to be completed by the Site Administrator for the applicant he/she is recommending for the iLEAD program.

Memorandum of Agreement- Metro RESA Tier II iLEAD Program for Alternative Preparation for Educational Leadership I understand the GaPSC rule 505-3-.76 requires specific items to be included in the Metro RESA Partnership Agreement to ensure applicant completion of the program. To participate in the program, the points of agreement are as follows: Note: The candidate’s District Supervisor participates in the design of the performance plan for the applicant and ensures the applicant meets all requirements for participation listed below. I understand that to participate in the program, the applicant must meet the following criteria: Candidates must be employed in a leadership position in a school district requiring professional performance-based leadership - Tier II (a Tier II position is one that requires the individual to supervise and evaluate other leaders, ex: Principal, Associate/Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent) Receive the recommendation of a Georgia LUA for participation in the program and assurance that the applicant is approved and supported by their direct supervisor and the school district Hold a level 5 or higher Standard Professional Educational Leadership Tier I certificate or hold a valid, Standard Professional L certificate in Educational Leadership Tier II based on completion of a non-performance-based program The applicant must exhibit professional leadership dispositions through an assessment utilized by Metro RESA and completed by the candidate's district supervisor The candidate's district supervisor and the superintendent/designee must verify evidence of the applicant's successful performance in a leadership position that requires performance-based leadership certification The candidate’s direct supervisor and the superintendent/designee’s signature on the application verifies the recommendation of the applicant and agrees to the following Metro RESA Partnership A Candidate Support Team comprised of the candidate, the candidate's supervisor, a trained and qualified leadership mentor, and an assigned Metro RESA supervisor is in place for each applicant Opportunities for the candidate’s participation in 750 clinical hours of authentic, job-embedded leadership performances are established Roles and responsibilities of each partner are clearly outlined and delineate responsibilities of Metro RESA and the school district   The candidate's direct supervisor assigns a site-based mentor (with contact information) who meets the criteria in the 2015 Georgia Educational Leadership standards The Commitment Agreement is signed by applicant The applicant submits the application fee: $75.00 (non-refundable) In addition to the points cited above, the candidate's direct supervisor agrees to: Serve on the Candidate Support Team (CST) Support the iLEAD Mentor in mentoring the candidate Evaluate the candidate’s performance and dispositions in the CST meetings Support the candidate in all assignments and planned experiences Assist in arranging leadership experiences and identifying resources for research related to the program's performance experiences Alternative Preparation Program advanced residency requirements shall be completed while employed by a regionally accredited LUA or regionally accredited private school in a Tier II level leadership position full-time or part-time, for at least a half day every day for a minimum of a twelve (12) month cycle.

Before you start the online application process, have the following information available:

1. Name, position, employer and email address for your superintendent’s designee, site administrator and mentor.  The superintendent’s designee is authorized to enter into partnership agreements on behalf of your district.  The site administrator is your supervisor and evaluator.  The mentor is a colleague already holding a Tier I Educational Leadership Certificate.    
2. A copy of your current Education Certificate downloaded to the computer you will be using to submit your application. You may download a copy from the following web site – https://mypsc.gapsc.org.
3. A copy of your GACE Georgia Ethics for Educational Leaders 380. You can find information about this assessment at https://gace.ets.org. Once you complete it, you can access your certification of completion from https://mypsc.gapsc.org.
4. A copy of the transcript (does not have to be an official copy) from your most recent college/university degree. 
5. A copy of your professional resume. 
6. A credit card to use to make the $75 non-refundable application fee.

1. To register, first go to our website at www.mresa.org.
2. Then go to the red box to the right and click COURSES and EVENTS.
3. Once within the COURSES and EVENTS registration page, use the search bar in the top right corner to type in ilead. Click SEARCH.
4. Select the iLEAD course that has the title: APPLY to iLEAD: Alternative Preparation for Educational Leadership Certification-Tier I Summer 2023.
5. Select CHECKOUT.
6. REGISTER.
7. Create an account.  You will need first name, last name, email address, district affiliation (If you are not within a district, select MRESA.), school name, school address, cell phone, and home address. 
8. Once an account is created, the items in your cart will appear.  The APPLY to iLEAD: Alternative Preparation for Educational Leadership Certification-Tier I Summer 2023 should be visible. Your cart summary should show a $75.00 fee associated with the registration.  
9. Select the payment method:  I will pay online, my district will pay, or my school will pay.  If selecting district or school will pay, please have the payee contact information available to include; first and last name, position/title, organization name, and correct email address. 
10. Once payment information is completed, select MAKE PAYMENT.  A message will appear that your registration was received. 
11. Select GO TO DASHBOARD. 
12. This will take you to your online learning account dashboard where you are able to view your active courses, register for additional courses, edit your account to change your password. (Your initial password will be emailed to the email address you provided upon creating an account within the registration system.)
